As a senior bilingual consultant and greatly appreciated associate of McGill Buckley, Danielle Côté delivers over 30 years of experience in external relations, media relations, content development and project management.
We first collaborated with Danielle when she was on the Canadian Public Relations Society-Ottawa Gatineau Chapter board, continued working with her at the Ottawa Community Foundation and more recently when she was Director of Communications for the Canadian Cardiovascular Society.
Danielle has built her career through unwavering dedication, passion and a genuine desire to help organizations strengthen their brands through purposeful, consistent, strategic and clear communication.
Throughout her career, she has either built or led the communications function for organizations such as the Canadian Cardiovascular Society, the Ottawa Community Foundation, the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, Consumer Health Products Canada, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Throughout her career, she has been responsible for and led various projects and initiatives to help grow profile and brand equity. These initiatives ranged from creating content management processes and rebranding to managing and delivering a national congress for more than 2000 delegates and working with health partners to design and evaluate a regional sodium reduction campaign.
Today, most of Danielle’s work focuses on helping clients align their communications with their strategic and operational plans and creating content that increases their engagement with key stakeholders through storytelling.
Raised in the small Northern Ontario town of Smooth Rock Falls, Ontario, Danielle was immersed in English and French at an early age. Although she couldn’t wait to move to Ottawa to pursue her studies, she still feels a true connection to the north and considers herself a proud Franco-Ontarian.
Danielle has volunteered in the public relations community for over 25 years. She is an accredited member of the Canadian Public Relations Society.
