Heroes Formation – the Legacy Giving Program of Support Our Troops

Once again working with our friends at Wayne Hussey Consulting, we helped to craft the messaging and design the look and feel of collateral materials that would launch a national legacy giving program. Heroes Formation encourages planned giving, in support of two, central areas of focus for Support Our Troops fundraising.
 

Help for the Ill and Injured

Soldier On is a program that provides ill and injured members with a safe environment to challenge themselves, to be inspired and empowered in ways they didn’t think possible. Embracing an active lifestyle provides opportunities for them to develop new skills, build confidence in their abilities and meet others with similar challenges. Soldier On has supported more than 4,000 women and men in obtaining sporting or recreational equipment and to participate in group activities.
 

Building Resilient Military Families

Family First is a program from Support Our Troops that provides grants to military families to help them through challenges, including those associated with military life. From supporting children with special needs to sending kids to camp and providing post-secondary scholarships, Family First supports the people who provide the strength behind the uniform.

Developing the material to launch the Heroes Formation legacy giving program is but one of many projects we worked on for Support Our Troops. We've also been inspired to work on the development of a national direct mail program and materials that promote the wide range of giving programs from Support Our Troops.
