Canadian Breast Cancer Network

Helping to promote breast cancer patient education and advocacy.

Given our passion for working with not-for-profit organizations and our interest in healthcare, we were thrilled to be hired by the Canadian Breast Cancer Network to help with their brand and website. We were amongst a small group of firms asked to respond to their Request for Proposal.

This four-month project involved a website revamp, a brand refresh, implementing a new Content Management System (CMS) and planning for a new national database roll-out.

“Canadian Breast Cancer Network is Canada’s leading patient-directed organization of individuals concerned about breast cancer.”

We worked side-by-side with the Canadian Breast Cancer Network team and our frequent website development partners at QuickSilk throughout the project.  Beginning with a website discovery session to confirm communication and technical requirements, we produced a written website plan and developed all-new information architecture and navigational hierarchy.

Once the plan and structure were in place, we moved onto wireframe design and visual designs based on standard templates to streamline website management and updates. Once approved by the Canadian Breast Cancer Network team, we worked with the development team at Quicksilk to build the site and provide CMS training.

Drug Navigation Tool Database

The Metastatic Breast Cancer Drug Navigation Tool was to be a web-based resource map for patients, caregivers, researchers and health care providers in Canada. Its goal was to provide an easy-to-use, bilingual tool to allow individuals to easily access drug coverage information. It was our job to design and develop the new online tool (eventually named MedSearch) and make it work.
